Up at 8:00 and time to get packed up for the jaunt down to Sacramento, California.  We went to Truckee, CA first to visit Steve & Nancy Beals.  Steve is another high school friend.  We stayed for a couple of hours and then on the road again.

 A short stop in Auburn for an in and out burger and on the road again.  We got to the Red Roof Inn around 3:30 or so.  Ed (Silver top), John (Top), and the gang from Indiana were already there around the pool.  85 degrees or so and it felt real good.  Shortly after, Larry from Chicago showed up with Svein and Einar, from Norway, and Paul from Denmark.  They are all really looking forward to the ride.  Stuart’s son Andrew, showed up to visit with us for a while as he lives only a few miles from here.  He drove the four of us to a steakhouse for dinner.  Back at the motel and more catching up with friends from the last couple of years. 

Time for some sleep, as we will leave at 7:30 for the Harley shop for oil changes and stuff.  Joni’s new bike needs to be plugged into the computer and have the electric throttle checked.  It seems it has a mind of its own, running at 2500-3000 rpm with the throttle rolled all the way off!!  Not good.  We’ll see what’s up with that tomorrow.  The good old rat bike seems to be doing ‘just fine’.
