We found out that Mark made it to Yakima at 3:00 in the morning. He left to get us at 8:00 last night. We asked for a late check out at the motel, and they said no problem. I was able to watch almost the whole NASCAR race, as Mark & Lori didn’t show up until 2:30 in the afternoon. We went around the corner so Joni could fill up, as she was going to ride until it got dark. I tried to go the wrong way, yet again, and Joni rode past me to set me straight. That was the last that we saw of her for over 3 1\2 hours. She rode for 246 miles without stopping! I have never been able to do that, as I can only get to 140-150 miles before running out of gas. With her new Road Glide, she has a 6 gallon tank. Her computer read out told her that she could still go another 40 miles. I am so proud of her to be able to ride for 3 1\2 hours, and 246 miles in one sitting! After that, we stopped at a pizza place, had dinner, and loaded up her bike as it was getting dark. We got home at 11:30 at night. That was not the way that I wanted to return from a 30 day ride. The next morning, I put another head on the motor. I had 2 extra sets. I pulled the oil pump off and put new gaskets in it. I pulled the primary chain and clutch assembly off to put on a new outer clutch hub. The one that I took off had a 3 piece starter ring gear on it with a couple of the teeth broke off. I replaced it with one with a solid ring gear on it. It’s good to have spare parts laying around when you need them! I had it all back together and running good on Tuesday.
